Vaillant aroTHERM plus in 2026: do not mix the two generations
Vaillant launched a remastered range in June 2026. Check which model a quotation and its performance claims actually refer to.
Checked 7 October 2026. Specification-led buying guide. Not a hands-on review.
There is an important detail behind an aroTHERM plus quotation this autumn: the familiar name now spans different generations. A current marketing page and an older outdoor-unit code should not be combined into one imagined specification.
What changed this year
Vaillant's own history dates the remastered aroTHERM plus launch to June 2026. Its new UK product page highlights an anthracite casing, revised placement flexibility and updated acoustic performance. Those are manufacturer descriptions, not results from a ClimateCart installation test. Vaillant's launch timeline; new-generation product information.
Read the code, not just the name
Our catalogue has a 7 kW listing identified by 8000049528. Ask us to confirm the generation and supplied configuration against the current manufacturer paperwork before ordering. The catalogue photograph illustrates that listed product; it is not being presented as proof that every new-generation feature belongs to it.
Request the model-specific dimensions, clearance requirements and sound data. Do not compare sound pressure from one brochure with sound power from another as though they were identical measurements.
Choose the system around the home
A complete proposal still needs the design heat loss, emitter assessment, hot-water storage, controls and electrical scope. An attractive new casing does not eliminate those decisions. Ask what operating temperature the design expects and how performance has been assessed at the local design conditions.
Warranty and availability need their own check
Extended guarantees can depend on the installer, registration and associated equipment. Have the offered cover written into the proposal rather than infer it from an “up to” headline. Likewise, an announced model is not a promise that a particular capacity is available for immediate delivery.
Our view: compare exact complete systems, and ask about the new generation if that is what you want. Alpha remains our preferred starting point, but a suitable Vaillant proposal can be part of the shortlist.
